Myths & Misunderstandings
Clearer language protects both the client and the idea.
“Tantra means sex.”
Too narrow. Historical Tantra is much broader: ritual, philosophy, deity practice, contemplative discipline, and social histories that vary by tradition. Modern Tantra-related work can include breath, attention, relationship, embodiment or sensuality without any sexual activity at all.
Moonlight uses the word for a practical grammar of attention: arrive, breathe, sense, receive, choose, connect, integrate. Where sensual elements are part of an Experience, they are agreed, optional and bounded, and never the definition of the word.
“Arousal means consent.”
False. Bodily response is not permission. Consent is communicated choice, and a body can respond to touch that a person has not chosen and does not want. Moonlight's rule is that nothing a body does changes what was agreed; only words, or the agreed signal, do.
The same logic runs the other way. A MAYBE on your Map stays a MAYBE until you say otherwise on the night, however the evening is going.
“Relaxation means medical treatment.”
False. Moonlight can design for rest, comfort and body awareness without diagnosing anything or claiming to treat disease. Head, Face & Deep Rest and Body Reset are non-medical by definition, and no Moonlight page will ever tell you that an Experience cures, fixes or heals.
If you need clinical care, Moonlight will say so plainly, and it will not pretend to be a substitute.
“The divine feminine means all women share one essence.”
Not at Moonlight. “Divine feminine” is optional poetic language some women find beautiful and others find embarrassing. It is never a biological rule, a spiritual requirement or a description of how you are supposed to be.
Where the phrase appears in Moonlight's writing, it is an invitation to a register, not a claim about your nature. Decline it freely.

Moonlight separates history, modern interpretation and service application rather than blurring them. Nothing on this page is a claim of lineage, initiation or clinical effect; each section is labelled with the lens it is written from.
